Land Bank in Ukraine: 700% Increase in Land Value and Nearly 600 Million UAH Contributions to the Budget

The head of the “Land Bank” project, Yaroslav Yaroslavskyi, reported that he is currently leasing the first pool of state lands covering 90,000 hectares, consisting of 1,905 plots across 18 regions. According to him, 1,048 auctions have already been announced, of which 585 have been held, with a total area of lots amounting to 38,050 hectares. Payment for the lease has already been made for 284 plots (21,790 hectares). Overall, auction winners have transferred approximately ₴598.9 million to the state budget.

“During the auction process, 3,463 price proposals were submitted, and land prices increased eightfold compared to the initial price, resulting in nearly ₴600 million in budget revenue,” Yaroslavskyi noted.

Future Prospects and Economic Impact

It is expected that with the effective use of all state lands, the average rent will be around ₴28,500 per month. This will allow the budget to be replenished annually by approximately ₴8 billion, which will become a significant additional source of funding for the country.
