The export of agri-food products from the European Union in 2024 reached a record level of €235.4 billion, which is 3% higher compared to the previous year. Leading products in this segment include grains, dairy products, and wine.

Ukraine’s Position in the Agricultural Market
In terms of agri-food export consumption from the EU, Ukraine ranks 13th with a result of €3.634 billion, marking an increase of 5%. At the same time, the import of agri-food products into the EU also rose, reaching €171.8 billion, which is 8% more compared to 2023. The main suppliers of agricultural products remain Brazil, the UK, and Ukraine.
In 2024, Ukraine significantly increased its export of agricultural products to the EU by 11%, reaching €13 billion, which accounts for 8% of the total value of the EU’s imports. In particular, the export of vegetable oils rose to €3 billion (+€946 million), while the export of oilseeds and protein grains amounted to €3.1 billion (+€709 million).
Export and Import Trends
It is noteworthy that the import of Ukrainian grains decreased by 12% in value, reaching €4.5 billion, but the volume of supplies increased by 6%. In March 2025, the share of agri-food products in Ukrainian exports was 58%, equivalent to $2.1 billion.
