The state construction company ‘Ukrbud’ was sold as part of a large-scale privatization. The new owner of the enterprise is the company Petro Oil and Chemicals, controlled by Georgian citizen David Bejuashvili. The auction winner offered 805 million hryvnias, which is three times the starting price of 262.6 million hryvnias (excluding VAT).

Details of the privatization deal
‘Ukrbud’ was included in the list of large privatization objects in September 2024, and in March 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the sale conditions and starting price. The winner of the bidding was Petro Oil and Chemicals, whose main activity is the production of petroleum products.
‘Over 21 years, the company built a dozen factories, four residential buildings in Kyiv, and participated in the construction of the sarcophagus over the fourth block of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Last year, ‘Ukrbud’s’ revenue halved to ₴67 million compared to the previous year, and losses increased fourfold to ₴13.5 million. In 2024, the company did not construct anything.’
Composition and assets of ‘Ukrbud’
The privatization object included 147 units of real estate across Ukraine, 10 subsidiaries, over 255 million hryvnias in the balance sheet value of assets, 17 land plots totaling over 16 hectares, as well as over 250 active lease agreements with various counterparties.
The main office of ‘Ukrbud’ is located in Kyiv, near the railway and the ‘Livoberezhna’ metro station.
