Partners and Investors in the New Round

Leading venture capital firms Accel, Coatue, Thrive Capital, and DST Global participated in the funding of Anysphere. Technology giants Google and Nvidia were invited to join the strategic partnership. According to Anysphere’s CEO Michael Truella, the involvement of these companies will deepen collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence.

“Cursor is used by developers from OpenAI, Uber, Spotify, and Instacart; the service is integrated with Visual Studio Code.”

Capabilities and Implementation of Cursor

Cursor is Anysphere’s AI-based product designed to automate programming. The tool analyzes the actions of programmers, suggests the next lines of code, and includes a chatbot that helps solve programming tasks. The Cursor interface is integrated into Visual Studio Code, providing convenience for developers.

The service supports both proprietary language models and solutions from OpenAI and Anthropic. Currently, Cursor is actively used by engineers from companies such as OpenAI, Spotify, Instacart, Uber, as well as Major League Baseball in the USA. This indicates the scale of technology implementation in global IT companies.

Anysphere’s market value of $29.3 billion is considered a significant achievement, especially given that just a few months ago the startup was valued at less than $10 billion. Analysts emphasize that the company’s rapid growth reflects the increasing interest of investors in generative AI, which is significantly transforming the programming industry.

Anysphere’s success places the company alongside dynamic market players such as Replit, Cognition, and Lovable. These firms are promoting the concept of “vibe coding,” where programmers increasingly rely on AI prompts in their work.

Experts note that despite the rapid growth of the market, the cost of computing and access to AI models remain key challenges. However, investors are confident that Anysphere has all the prerequisites to become a leader in the new wave of companies creating application tools based on artificial intelligence.
