ARK Invest has released its new annual report Big Ideas 2026, sharing predictions about the future development of the crypto market and Bitcoin.

Crypto Market Capitalization Forecast and Bitcoin’s Role
According to the ARK Invest report, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies could reach $28 trillion by 2030. The company’s analysts expect that over 57% of this amount, specifically $16 trillion, will be attributed to Bitcoin.
“The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of the crypto market capitalization is projected to be 61%, while for Bitcoin, this figure will be 63% per year.”
ARK Invest also notes that Bitcoin’s market share could reach 70%. The remaining capitalization, according to experts, will be distributed among leading smart contract networks such as Ethereum and Solana.
Consolidation of Blockchain Networks and Prospects for Tokenized Assets
The report emphasizes that there will be consolidation in the smart contract space, with two to three blockchains occupying the largest market share. Their value will be determined not only by revenue from fees or user activity but also by the function of storing value, as owners hold native tokens as “digital money” or a means of saving.
According to ARK Invest’s calculations, if Bitcoin’s market capitalization reaches $16 trillion, the price of one BTC would be around $761,900, assuming a capped supply of 21 million coins. Currently, the value of Bitcoin is slightly below $90,000.
It is worth noting that over the past week, the market has experienced two significant corrections due to macroeconomic factors, with Bitcoin’s price temporarily dropping to $89,000.
In addition to forecasts regarding Bitcoin, the 111-page Big Ideas 2026 report addresses the development of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, and other innovative fields. Separately, ARK Invest anticipates the growth of the tokenized asset segment to $11 trillion by 2030, where tokenized stocks will dominate, and emphasizes the development of corporate blockchain networks and the gradual transition from blockchains to applied solutions.
