Geography of Construction Activity and Market Dynamics
The largest number of companies operating in the construction sector is concentrated in Kyiv — 2,489 enterprises. The top five regions with the highest construction activity also include Dnipropetrovsk region (880 companies), Kyiv region (865), Lviv region (788), and Odesa region (658). “In 2021, the number of registered construction companies was 2,958 (almost 33% more than the average in other years). Due to the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation in 2022, this figure decreased to 1,492 companies. In 2023, 2,063 construction firms were registered, in 2024 — 2,024, and in the first half of 2025 — 1,401.”

As of the first half of 2025, 1,401 new construction companies have been registered, which is almost at last year’s level.
