According to the State Statistics Service, in January 2025, the index of completed construction work in Ukraine increased by 6.1% compared to the same month last year. However, compared to December 2024, the figure decreased by 72%. The main factors contributing to the annual growth were the construction of buildings and non-residential facilities, which increased by 12.3% and 22.9% respectively.

At the same time, residential construction experienced a decline of 4.2%, while the construction of engineering structures decreased by 0.3%. Compared to December of last year, all types of construction showed significant declines:
- buildings – down by 67.2%;
- residential buildings – down by 51%;
- non-residential buildings – down by 71.8%;
- engineering structures – down by 76.1%.
The share of new construction in the total volume of completed work for January 2025 was 48.4%, repairs accounted for 29.2%, and reconstruction and technical re-equipment made up 22.4%. The total volume of completed construction work in monetary terms amounted to ₴9.44 billion, of which ₴1.69 billion was for residential buildings, ₴3.26 billion for non-residential buildings, and ₴4.49 billion for engineering structures.
