Non-residential construction in Ukraine increased by over 36% in a year

Нежитлове будівництво в Україні за рік зросло на 36%.

The volume of construction work completed in Ukraine from January to July this year reached 117.7 billion UAH, which is 16.1% more than in the same period last year. The most significant growth was demonstrated by non-residential construction, with volumes increasing by 36.4%.

Dynamics of the construction sector by type

Overall, for the seven months of 2025, the construction industry shows steady growth: the volume of building construction has increased by 27.7%. In particular, residential construction recorded an increase of 12%, while non-residential projects showed a growth of 36.4%. The construction of engineering facilities also rose by 8% compared to the same period last year.

In the structure of the total volume of completed construction work, new construction accounts for 43.4%, repair work for 29%, and reconstruction and other types for 27.6%.

Dynamics of the construction product index

The construction product index for January to July increased by 10% compared to the same period in 2024. The growth in the residential sector was 4.9%, in the non-residential sector 28.7%, and in the engineering sector 2.4%.

“In July, the index increased by 44.5% compared to July last year, but decreased by 2.8% compared to June. The data is presented without considering the temporarily occupied territory and parts of the territory where hostilities are (were) taking place.”

This data indicates a resilient recovery and development of the country’s construction industry, despite the challenging situation in certain regions.
