Support for Ukraine’s Defense Industry
Kubilius stated that some EU countries are already expressing intentions to use the loans to support Ukraine’s defense industry. However, specific figures are not yet disclosed. The Commissioner added that final data on the volumes of loans that will be directed to the needs of the Ukrainian defense sector may be released in November.
“Later, possibly in November, we will announce how many of these loans will be used for Ukraine,” Andrius Kubilius noted.
At the same time, he refrained from commenting on the readiness of EU countries to finance the purchase of American weapons for Kyiv amounting to $90 billion. Kubilius emphasized that the European defense industry is showing increased interest in collaborating with the Ukrainian defense industry, rather than the other way around. According to him, Ukraine’s defense industry is attractive to the EU, and the tools and programs of the European Union can be very beneficial for Ukrainian enterprises.
Participation of Ukrainian Manufacturers on the International Stage
During the DALO Industry Days 2025 exhibition held in Denmark, representatives of the Ukrainian defense industry showcased their developments under the unified national brand ZBROYA. As part of the event, Ukrainian companies, including “Deviro,” “Athlon Avia,” Unwave, Tencore, and Fire Point, held negotiations with state customers regarding the next stages of cooperation under the so-called “Danish model.”
