The Ukrainian long-range drone FP-1, developed by Fire Point, is entering mass production at a rate of about 3,000 units per month. This figure is comparable to the production volumes of the Russian Shahed-136 drones; however, the Ukrainian model stands out due to its significantly lower cost achieved through the implementation of new technological solutions.

Fire Point’s Production Capacities and New Developments
Fire Point introduced the FP-1 only in May 2025, but the company is already producing approximately 100 drones daily. In addition to the FP-1, the company has established production of the cruise missile FP-5, named “Flamingo.” Estimates suggest that Russia is also producing hundreds of Shahed-136 drones daily, making the competition in the field of unmanned systems even more intense.
Funding and Further Development of Drone Programs
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of financial support for the drone production program, as there is currently a funding deficit of $6 billion. According to the head of state, the Russian Federation is continuously increasing the number of drones used, so Ukraine needs to ensure sustainable funding to effectively counter this threat.
“We have everything we need to counter this, and therefore funding is crucial,” noted the President.
Meanwhile, Russia continues to ramp up production of strike drones Shahed and may soon reach a production level of over 6,000 drones per month. The relatively low cost of these UAVs allows Moscow to intensify nighttime attacks and conduct large-scale airstrikes.
