Potential of the New Industrial Park
The park is expected to host enterprises operating in various sectors: agricultural product processing, food production, warehouse logistics organization, manufacturing of machinery and equipment for agriculture and forestry, processing and preserving fruits and vegetables, as well as conducting scientific and technical activities and laboratory research.
“The park is established for a period of 30 years in the territory of the Novoukrainka settlement community. The settlement council is the initiator. The total area of the industrial park is 11 hectares. The launch of ‘Nova Synergy’ will create approximately 550 new jobs in the processing industry,” the Ministry of Economy clarified.
Norwegian Investments in Lviv’s Logistics Sector
Alongside the registration of the new park, the Norwegian government, through the Norfund fund, is investing about 100 million Norwegian kroner (9.8 million dollars) in the development of a logistics hub in Lviv. This investment is the first for the fund under a special program for Ukraine, initiated at the end of 2024. The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Ukrainian investment company Dragon Capital.
The funds will be directed towards expanding warehouse capacities in the M10 industrial park in Lviv. Thanks to the new investments, warehouse space is expected to increase by 200%. After the development is completed, the park will be able to offer up to 150,000 square meters of logistics space, making it a strategic transit hub for import and export cargo between Ukraine and Europe. The implementation of the project is expected to create up to 3,000 new jobs.
Last year, the Norwegian government allowed Norfund to invest up to 250 million Norwegian kroner (23.5 million dollars) in Ukraine. The financing is part of the Nansen Support Program for Ukraine, and the initiative is planned to continue in the future.
