Increase in Export of Processed Food Products

According to last year’s results, the export of ready-to-eat food products from Ukraine reached $4.4 billion, accounting for nearly 20% of the total volume of agricultural exports. Overall, in 2025, Ukraine exported agricultural products worth $22.71 billion, while imports amounted to $9.12 billion. At the same time, compared to 2024, exports decreased by 9%, while imports increased by 13%.

Impact of External Factors on Agroexports

The change in trade rules with the European Union became one of the key factors affecting the dynamics of agricultural product exports and imports. Additionally, since December 2025, Russian shelling of Ukrainian ports has intensified. This has led to delays and complications in the shipment of raw materials and processed products to foreign markets.

“In 2025, the revenue from the export of these goods reached $4.4 billion (almost 20% of all agricultural products).”

The situation with weather conditions remains relevant. According to the Ministry of Economy, the recent severe frosts will not have a critical impact on the prospects for the upcoming harvest. The condition of winter crops is currently under control: in the fall, farmers sowed over 5 million hectares of winter grains and more than 1 million hectares of rapeseed.
