Significant Growth in Organic Exports to the EU
In 2024, Ukraine entered the top three leaders among exporters of organic products to the EU, rising from fifth to third place in the supplier rankings. In this regard, the country is surpassed only by Ecuador and China. In particular, Ukraine has become the largest supplier of organic grains to Europe.
The total volume of organic agri-food imports to the EU in 2024 reached 2.64 million tons, which is 6.4% more than the previous year. Ukraine’s share in this import is 7.7%.
Main Export Directions and Product Structure
In 2024, Ukrainian exports of organic products increased by 17% compared to 2023, reaching 203,900 tons. Sales of fruits and nuts grew particularly actively — by 17.3%. Ukrainian companies primarily export organic grains, oilseeds, soybeans, proteins, nuts, fruits, and frozen berries. The majority of exports consist of raw materials, although the share of processed products, including fruit concentrates, is gradually increasing.

Overall, Ukraine exports about 90% of all organic products produced, regaining positions lost due to the full-scale war in the European market.
