A significant portion of the work – for 64% of the facilities – was started or activated only at the end of last year.

Features and Participants of the Project
The project involves not only the repair of individual buildings but also comprehensive planning and transformation of entire communities or parts of them. The participants include Borodyanka and Moschun in Kyiv region, Trostianets in Sumy region, Posad-Pokrovske in Kherson region, Tsyrkuny in Kharkiv region, and Yahidne in Chernihiv region.
Funding and Progress of Work
State funding for the selected communities amounts to 10.82 billion hryvnias, which is 93% of the expected total project cost. As of May 2025, only 2.23 billion hryvnias have been utilized, which is about 20% of the allocated funds. At the same time, 2025 was supposed to be the final year for this experiment.
In Borodyanka, energy-efficient solutions are being implemented within the project: solar panels are being installed on the roofs of multi-storey buildings. To date, work has been completed on eight residential buildings.
