У Німеччині за три роки частка працевлаштованих українських біженців зросла на понад 200%.

Over the past three years, the proportion of Ukrainian refugees in Germany with official employment has significantly increased. In the summer of 2022, only 16% of Ukrainians who fled the war were employed, but now this figure has reached 51%.

Improvement in job satisfaction among Ukrainians

Alongside the increase in employment, job satisfaction among Ukrainian citizens in Germany is also rising. Compared to 2023, the percentage of respondents aged 20 to 50 who reported being “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with their employment has increased from 87% to 94%.

“Many have managed to find work after completing integration and language courses,” said Andreas Ette, the head of the study at the Federal Institute for Demographic Research.

Changes in migration flows and public reaction

Recently, there has been growing discontent in Germany due to the increasing number of young men arriving from Ukraine. After Ukrainian men aged 18 to 22 were allowed to leave the country, the number of applications for temporary protection type S in Switzerland surged from 3 to 185 within a few weeks, accounting for approximately 33% of all new applications. However, the situation is gradually stabilizing.

A similar trend is observed in Poland. Here, the number of Ukrainians aged 18-22 arriving in the country increased from 19 per week in August to over 1,000 by mid-September. At the same time, the Polish Border Guard clarifies that these figures do not account for those returning to Ukraine, and each individual may have crossed the border multiple times. Thus, the actual number of those who left Ukraine and have not returned is approximately half of the reported figures.
