The Government Allocated 300 Million UAH for Housing and Shelter Restoration in the Kyiv Region

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to allocate 300 million UAH from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression for the restoration of housing stock and the completion of shelters in the Kyiv region. This funding aims to repair 988 apartments, providing housing for nearly 3,000 people, as well as to complete the arrangement of shelters in four educational institutions, allowing over 1,200 children to safely attend school.

Restoration of Housing in Affected Communities of Kyiv Region

The reconstruction of residential buildings covers the most affected communities from the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, including Bucha, Irpin, Hostomel, and other areas of the Kyiv region. The implementation of the project will enable families who lost their homes due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation to return to normal life.

Scale of Destruction and Restoration Rates in Kyiv

In the capital, systematic work continues on the restoration of residential buildings that have been damaged as a result of Russian attacks. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 3,129 buildings have been damaged in Kyiv, of which 2,134 are apartment buildings. In just 2025, Russian attacks affected 957 buildings in the city.

Currently, the list of the most destroyed apartment buildings, whose residents had to be evacuated, includes 88 objects, 49 of which were damaged by Russian shelling this year. Restoration has already been completed for 25 of them, while repair work is ongoing on seven buildings, and the rest are at the stage of design and obtaining permits.
