Ukraine and Austria Sign Memorandum of Cooperation in the Agricultural Sector and Economy

Ukraine and Austria have signed a memorandum aimed at expanding cooperation in the field of agriculture. According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy, Vitaliy Koval, this document opens new prospects for Ukrainian producers and will contribute to the country’s further European integration.

Main Areas of Agricultural Cooperation

The memorandum covers a number of important areas. In particular, Ukraine and Austria will expand trade in crop products, technologies, and other agricultural goods, as well as develop cooperation in the field of animal breeding. The document also provides for:

  1. Support for Ukraine in the processes of European integration.
  2. Exchange of experience in environmentally friendly and sustainable agriculture, including cooperation in scientific, educational, and research activities.
  3. Promotion of international student exchange in the agricultural sector.
  4. Assistance in the development of animal breeding and reproduction sectors, as well as in plant breeding.

“The memorandum is not only about cooperation and economic prospects. It is also about opportunities for Ukrainian producers to open new markets and create joint ventures with Austrian companies,” emphasized Koval.

Deepening Economic Partnership between Ukraine and Austria

In addition to the agricultural sector, Ukraine and Austria have signed a declaration to deepen economic cooperation. Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, and Austria’s Minister of Economy, Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, agreed to support business ties, attract Austrian investments, exchange experiences, and work together on the economic recovery of Ukraine. This initiative aims to strengthen the economic integration of the two countries and promote the development of Ukrainian businesses on an international level.
