Rapid profit growth and record in the data center segment

NVIDIA’s net profit for the reporting quarter reached $58.3 billion under GAAP standards, which is 211% higher year-over-year. The company’s operating profit increased by 147% to $53.5 billion. At the same time, operating expenses reached $7.6 billion, which is 52% higher than a year ago.

Especially impressive results were achieved in the data center segment: revenues here amounted to a record $75.2 billion. This is 21% higher compared to the previous quarter and 92% higher year-over-year.

“GAAP refers to generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S. that public companies must adhere to for transparent and standardized financial reporting.”

In addition to the GAAP report, the company also disclosed adjusted metrics (Non-GAAP), which allow for the consideration of the impact of one-time or atypical factors on performance.

New share buyback program and dividend increase

NVIDIA announced the launch of an additional share buyback program worth $80 billion with no time limit. Additionally, the company increased the quarterly dividend from $0.01 to $0.25 per share. Payments to shareholders registered as of June 4, 2026, are scheduled for June 26, 2026.

According to the updated forecast, in the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year, the company expects to generate around $91 billion in revenue. These estimates do not account for potential profits from data center operations in China.

It was previously reported that the U.S. allowed the sale of Nvidia H200 chips to ten companies in China, which may impact the company’s future financial results.
