In 2024, Ukraine entered the top three largest exporters of agricultural products to the European Union, ranking third with an export volume of €13.1 billion, which accounts for 6.7% of the total agricultural product imports to the EU, according to Eurostat data.

The largest supplier of agricultural products to the EU last year was Brazil, which exported goods worth €17.1 billion (8.8%). Ukraine is also surpassed by the United Kingdom, which holds 8.5% of the market with an export volume of €16.6 billion. Following them are the USA with a share of 6.1% and exports of €12 billion.
EU Trade Figures
Overall, in 2024, the EU exported agricultural products worth €234.1 billion and imported €194.9 billion. Compared to 2023, exports and imports increased by 2.8% and 6.7%, respectively. From 2014 to 2024, the trade volumes of agricultural products in the European Union grew by 59%, with exports increasing by 58% and imports by 60.2%.
Main Markets for Exports
Last year, the United Kingdom became the main destination for EU agricultural product exports, accounting for 23% of the total volume (a total of €54 billion). Other importing countries include the USA, Switzerland, and China.
