“Another good indicator is the production of meat products ($3.8 billion) and fish processing. They have already surpassed the figures of 2021 by 1.5% and 8.1% respectively,” he added.
According to Koval, the overall export of food products also shows growth, reaching $5.7 billion in 2024, which is 20.8% more than the previous year. The growth in the export of meat and meat products is particularly impressive, amounting to 270%. To date, 60 Ukrainian dairy plants have already been accredited in the European Union.
Koval emphasized that these figures confirm that Ukraine is confidently moving from exporting raw materials to exporting finished products with high added value. “We are taking steps towards our goal – transforming the country from an agrarian to an agro-industrial one,” he concluded.
