Anthropic, the developer of the renowned AI models Claude, has announced a large-scale project to build data centers in the United States with a total investment of $50 billion. The new facilities will be located in Texas and New York. The commissioning of the data centers is scheduled for the end of 2026.

Collaboration with Fluidstack and Strategic Partnership
As part of the project, Anthropic has entered into an agreement with the British company Fluidstack, which specializes in non-cloud technological solutions and provides Google’s TPU hardware capabilities. Fluidstack already has experience collaborating with giants such as Meta, Black Forest Labs, and the French company Mistral, and has also received $11 billion in funding from the French government.
“We are building data centers in Texas and New York that will create thousands of American jobs. This is a $50 billion investment in America,” stated Anthropic in a press release.
Infrastructure for the Future of AI
Anthropic’s CEO Dario Amodei emphasized that the new data centers are specifically designed for maximum efficiency in computational workloads required for the operation of modern AI models, including Claude. According to company representatives, this is key infrastructure for advancing technologies that can accelerate scientific discoveries and solve complex problems.
In addition to investing in its own infrastructure, Anthropic continues its partnership with Google and Amazon for cloud computing. However, this is the first project of such scale for the company regarding the establishment of its own data centers in the United States.
It is expected that by 2028, Anthropic’s revenue could reach $70 billion, with a positive cash flow of $17 billion.
Experts note that these investments are significant, although they fall short of competitors’ plans. For example, Meta plans to spend $600 billion on data center development over three years, while the Stargate project involving SoftBank, OpenAI, and Oracle anticipates $500 billion in investments in AI infrastructure. Such large-scale investments raise concerns about a potential “bubble” in the industry.
In collaboration with Fluidstack, Anthropic will also implement innovative energy-efficient solutions to reduce operational costs and enhance the environmental sustainability of its facilities. This is expected to create optimal conditions for the development of advanced AI technologies.
As a reminder, earlier, in September 2025, Anthropic raised $13 billion in investments with a company valuation of $183 billion.
