The company Lemtrans, the largest private operator of rail freight transportation in Ukraine, has announced its intention to build a container terminal in Fastiv, located in the Kyiv region. This terminal will become an important strategic logistics hub not only for the region but also for the country as a whole.

The opening of the new terminal will significantly optimize logistics chains, expand export opportunities for Ukrainian producers, and facilitate the integration of local businesses into international markets.
Investments in Infrastructure Development
Despite the challenging conditions related to the war, Lemtrans remains an active investor in the transport sector. In 2024, the company has already invested ₴478 million in the development of logistics and infrastructure projects, which is 200% more than in 2023. Of this amount, ₴441 million was directed towards the development of terminal and container business.
Transportation Results
In 2024, the key cargoes for the company included: coal – 10.9 million tons, iron ore raw materials – 2.3 million tons, and construction materials – 2.01 million tons. In comparison, in 2023, coal transportation amounted to 13.5 million tons, iron ore raw materials – 0.4 million tons, and construction materials – 2.9 million tons.
