Swedish Investments and the Development of Geothermal Energy
Swedish partners already have experience participating in the implementation of Ukrainian projects in the agricultural sector, energy, IT, and medicine. Currently, the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration is compiling a list of specific investment proposals for Swedfund. Among them are projects for the development of geothermal energy, initiatives in the medical field, and projects for improving drainage systems. Swedfund plans to select the most promising ones for support.

Japanese Technologies for Internally Displaced Persons and Energy Independence
Separately, the regional leadership met with representatives of the Japanese company Daiwatech to discuss the possibility of constructing modern modular homes for internally displaced persons in Transcarpathia. A similar project is already being implemented in Kyiv region with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The parties also considered the prospect of installing powerful solar power plants in the region in collaboration with local businesses. This step will contribute to increasing the energy independence of Transcarpathia. The funding for these projects could be provided by the Government of Japan, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the World Bank.
