American Bitcoin ETFs Experience Largest Monthly Capital Outflow — $342 Million

On July 1, 2025, the sector of American spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced a significant capital outflow totaling $342.25 million. This marked the largest daily outflow in the past month, contrasting with the predominantly positive trend in May, when the market saw a steady influx of investments.

Largest Outflows in Key Funds

Among Bitcoin ETFs, the largest losses were recorded by the following funds:

  • FBTC — minus $172.73 million;
  • GBTC — minus $119.51 million;
  • ARKB — minus $27.03 million;
  • BITB — minus $22.98 million.

No significant changes in capital movement occurred in other Bitcoin ETFs.

Ethereum ETFs Show Growth

In contrast to Bitcoin ETFs, Ethereum-based funds have demonstrated an influx of funds for the third consecutive day. On the first day of July, investors directed $40.68 million into these products. Specifically, the ETHA fund attracted $54.84 million, while ETHE brought in $9.97 million. Meanwhile, FETH from Fidelity recorded an outflow of over $24 million. Other Ethereum ETFs remained unchanged in terms of capital inflow.

A slight outflow of funds is also observed in the Hong Kong segment of spot ETFs: for Bitcoin ETFs — 0.00198 BTC, for Ethereum ETFs — 0.02 ETH.

Previously, Bloomberg Intelligence analysts Eric Balchunas and James Seyffart updated their forecasts regarding the likelihood of approval for new spot cryptocurrency ETFs in the American market by the end of 2025.
