BloFin Launches Coin-Margined Perpetual Contracts for Bitcoin and Ethereum

BloFin запустила Coin-Margined контракти для біткоїна та Ethereum

The cryptocurrency exchange BloFin has expanded its offerings by introducing a new product — coin-margined perpetual contracts for Bitcoin (BTCUSD) and Ethereum (ETHUSD). From now on, users can trade these digital assets using the cryptocurrency itself as collateral, which opens up a fundamentally new level of flexibility for traders.

Features of the New Contracts and Benefits for Traders

The new feature became available on the BloFin platform on June 21, 2025. This allows users to enter derivative contracts that are not limited by an expiration date. Coin-margined perpetual contracts enable speculation on asset price changes without an expiration date and are settled directly in the underlying cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. This is significantly different from traditional contracts with USDT margin, where all settlements are made in stablecoins.

“This solution opens up a fully crypto-native trading environment, providing traders with the opportunity to profit in cryptocurrency and maintain long-term exposure to the market.”

According to the platform, the new approach offers greater flexibility, allows for more efficient capital utilization, and supports the trend of increasing the role of digital assets in finance. This is particularly relevant for traders who wish to keep their funds in crypto assets, avoiding conversion to stablecoins.

Development Plans and Technical Features of BloFin

The company has announced that the range of trading pairs with coin margin will be expanded soon. This is expected to strengthen BloFin’s position as a modern exchange catering to both retail and professional traders.

BloFin specializes in futures trading and offers over 480 trading pairs in USDT-M format. Additionally, the platform provides access to spot trading, API solutions, copy trading features, sub-accounts, and unified account management. To protect user assets and comply with regulatory standards, the service has integrated solutions from Fireblocks and Chainalysis.
