Capital Outflow from Spot Bitcoin ETFs and Ethereum ETFs Reached $1.72 Billion in a Week

From November 3 to 7, 2025, spot exchange-traded funds based on Bitcoin and Ethereum experienced a significant capital outflow, totaling over $1.72 billion. This trend marked one of the largest in recent months in the cryptocurrency ETF market.

Details of Outflow in Bitcoin ETFs

The segment of spot Bitcoin ETFs ended the week with a net outflow of investments amounting to $1.22 billion. According to data from the analytical platform SoSoValue, the largest negative capital movements were recorded by the following funds:

  • IBIT — $580.98 million;
  • FBTC — $438.30 million;
  • ARKB — $128.92 million;
  • GBTC — $64.33 million;
  • HODL — $13.36 million;
  • BRRR — $11.34 million;
  • EZBC — $8.72 million.

At the same time, three funds — BTCO, BTCW, and DEFI — did not attract new capital, while two others — BTC and BITB — recorded capital inflows of $21.61 million and $4.69 million, respectively.

Ethereum ETFs and Solana-Based Funds

A similar trend was observed among spot Ethereum ETFs, with an outflow of $507.83 million, marking the third-largest negative result since the inception of these investment instruments. The outflow was recorded in six major funds:

  • ETHA (BlackRock) — $296.95 million;
  • FETH (Fidelity) — $108.83 million;
  • ETH (Grayscale) — $61.07 million;
  • ETHE (Grayscale) — $38.33 million;
  • ETHW (Bitwise) — $3.11 million;
  • ETHV (VanEck) — $2.64 million.

Meanwhile, the EZET fund from Franklin Templeton saw no changes, while QETH from Invesco and TETH from 21Shares demonstrated inflows of $2.59 million and nearly $0.52 million, respectively.

“At the same time, Ethereum-based ETFs lost funds totaling $507.83 million, according to SoSoValue. This is the third-largest capital outflow from these funds in their entire history.”

Additionally, in Hong Kong, an outflow of 231.88 BTC and 456.73 ETH was recorded from local ETFs.

In contrast, spot Solana ETFs, which have only been on the market for two weeks, attracted $136.5 million in investments. In particular, BSOL from Bitwise and GSOL from Grayscale showed positive dynamics amid the outflows from Bitcoin and Ethereum funds.

It is worth noting that the previous week saw nearly $800 million withdrawn from Bitcoin ETFs, although in October, these funds demonstrated growth with a total inflow of $3.42 billion. For Ethereum ETFs, an investment increase of $569.92 million was recorded during the same period.
