CoinShares Launches ETP on Toncoin with 2% Staking Yield

Платформа для винагороди користувачів T-Rex залучила $17 млн

The European company CoinShares, specializing in crypto asset management, has announced the launch of a new investment product — an ETP based on Toncoin, the token of The Open Network blockchain, which is integrated with the Telegram messenger. The new product is named CoinShares Physical Staked Toncoin and has begun trading on the Swiss exchange SIX under the ticker CTON.

Features of the New ETP on Toncoin

The launched ETP allows investors to access Toncoin with the ability to automatically generate profits from staking. The expected yield from staking is around 2%, and all transactions with the product are conducted in US dollars. At the same time, CoinShares decided to launch the product despite the fact that since the beginning of 2025, Toncoin has lost about 59% of its value: currently, the market capitalization of the asset, according to CoinGecko, stands at $5.8 billion.

“The TON network combines technical efficiency with a powerful user base of Telegram, which has over 900 million users.”

CoinShares emphasizes that the potential of Toncoin is largely tied to the widespread use of Telegram, which gives the blockchain every chance for further development despite the current price decline.

Toncoin in CoinShares’ Portfolio and New Opportunities for Investors

It is worth noting that Toncoin is already part of the CoinShares Altcoins ETF (DIME), which operates in the US and provides access to various altcoins, including Solana, Polkadot, Cardano, and Cosmos. The launch of the ETP on Toncoin also coincided with the start of trading tokenized stocks and ETFs on the Telegram platform, where users can purchase shares of over 50 companies and funds, including those that pay dividends.

As a reminder, recently Telegram sent warnings to users in France about privacy risks, marking another step towards enhancing personal data protection.
