Gate: banks are yielding to stablecoins, while tokenization and AI are changing the market

Strategy створила резерв у $1,4 млрд для виплати дивідендів і придбала 130 BTC

The CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange Gate, Lin Han, stated that the modern digital asset market no longer adheres to the traditional internal dynamics of the industry. According to him, the development of cryptocurrencies today is closely linked to global economic trends, the situation in the US stock markets, and current trends in the field of artificial intelligence. The former model of four-year Bitcoin cycles no longer determines the behavior of the crypto industry.

Banks are changing strategies due to stablecoins

In Lin Han’s opinion, banks are increasingly not competing with stablecoins but are beginning to actively use them in their operations. Digital assets are already becoming the main financial infrastructure, and leading exchanges are preparing for large-scale tokenization of real assets, transitioning them to on-chain format. This, according to the CEO of Gate, will lead to profound changes in the financial sector.

“Traditional banks have already lost the competition to stablecoins as a payment technology. However, they are not leaving the market but changing their strategy,” emphasized Lin Han.

Financial institutions are gradually integrating stablecoins to accelerate settlements and cross-border payments, viewing them not as a threat to their deposit base but as a modern technological tool. Gate has emphasized that they do not plan to issue their own token but are focusing on developing infrastructure and implementing existing solutions.

Tokenization of assets and the impact of artificial intelligence

Lin Han predicts that in the coming years, assets such as stocks, metals, and commodities will transition to 24/7 blockchain platforms. This will pave the way for cryptocurrency exchanges, which will be able to provide higher liquidity and continuous trading, surpassing traditional financial venues. He also notes a significant increase in the real use of cryptocurrencies in payments.

The next stage of market development will be the large-scale integration of artificial intelligence. The combination of AI and blockchain, according to Gate’s management, will stimulate the widespread adoption of digital assets worldwide. The crypto infrastructure is gradually transforming into the foundational settlement layer of a new global financial ecosystem.

Gate identifies practical applications of innovative technologies in various fields, rather than price speculation, as the key factor for further market growth.
