Features of the New Model
The Seeker smartphone boasts a range of unique features, including:
- an integrated crypto wallet called Seed Vault,
- a dApps Store marketplace for applications,
- a service for creating artificial intelligences.
According to information on the official website, the device is available for pre-order at a price of $500.
New Solutions in the Ecosystem
Along with the announcement of Seeker, Solana Mobile also introduced two key components of its mobile ecosystem — TEEPIN and SKR. TEEPIN is a framework that provides a secure environment for developers and users. It includes three main components:
- Hardware Layer: ensures cryptographic verification of both software and hardware,
- Application Layer: simplifies interaction between users and applications through on-chain verification,
- Network Layer: a decentralized network controlled by the Guardian Network, consisting of organizations and thought leaders in the community.
The SKR token will serve as the foundation of this ecosystem’s economy. According to Solana Mobile CEO Emmett Hollyer, “aligning incentives is crucial for building a truly decentralized and self-sustaining mobile ecosystem. It transforms the traditional mobile business model by providing stakeholders with actual ownership of the platform.”
“Instead of being passive consumers in someone else’s walled garden, users, developers, and hardware manufacturers become active stewards of the digital infrastructure owned by the community.”
