Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, has completed another large-scale purchase of bitcoins. According to official data, the company replenished its reserves by an additional 850 BTC for a total of $99.7 million. The transaction took place between September 15 and 21, 2025, with the average price of one bitcoin for this transaction being $117,344.

Buying Strategy and Market Dynamics
Following this deal, the total amount of bitcoins owned by Strategy reached 639,835 BTC. In total, the company has spent about $47.3 billion on their acquisition, with an average price per coin of $73,971. This has secured Strategy’s status as the largest corporate holder of bitcoins in the world.
The increase in assets occurred against the backdrop of a 25 basis point reduction in the Federal Reserve’s base interest rate. However, experts note that the volume of new purchases by the company is gradually decreasing. In September, Strategy acquired 3,330 BTC, while in August it purchased 7,714 BTC, and in July, as many as 31,466 BTC. This indicates a shift towards a more cautious investment strategy amid the stabilization of cryptocurrency market prices.
According to the company’s co-founder Michael Saylor, “Bitcoin is becoming ‘boring’ for retail traders, but institutional adoption is laying the groundwork for long-term growth.”
Competitor Activity and New Initiatives
Despite the slowing pace of purchases by Strategy, other market players are increasing their positions. In particular, the Japanese company Metaplanet acquired 5,419 BTC over the past week, allowing it to raise its asset volume to 25,555 coins and enter the top five largest public corporate holders of Bitcoin in the world.
It is also worth noting that Strategy’s latest purchase coincided with Michael Saylor’s preparation to participate in a government roundtable, the topic of which will be a legislative initiative to create a strategic Bitcoin reserve for the United States.
It was previously reported that amid the decline in Bitcoin’s price, gold has reached a historic high.
