Tether, led by CEO Paolo Ardoino, has announced the launch of a new project called Tether AI. This solution represents an open-source execution environment that enables support for crypto payments and creates a peer-to-peer network for AI agents.

In Ardoino’s statement, he noted that the new Tether AI project can be deployed on “any hardware.” It will also receive support from the Tether Wallet Development Kit (WDK), allowing for crypto payments in USDT and Bitcoin. This execution environment promises seamless integration and modularity, which are important features for various applications.
Features of Tether AI
The main goal of Tether AI is to create a P2P network for AI agents, enabling them to perform transactions, engage in trading, and carry out other complex tasks. Ardoino hinted at the development of several AI solutions back in February 2025, and Tether AI is likely one of these concepts based on the Bare execution environment from Holepunch.

Additionally, Tether has introduced the BrainOS platform, aimed at simplifying access to advanced technologies for enhancing brain function. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to fostering innovation in technology and artificial intelligence.
