During the last week of March 2026, the Trust Wallet token (TWT) experienced a significant decline: the asset’s value dropped from approximately $0.52 to $0.32, representing a loss of over 30%. Subsequently, the price partially recovered; however, the market situation remains tense.

Reasons for the Sharp Drop in TWT Price
Numerous on-chain analysts attribute the collapse to large-scale token sales. Researcher Z Crypto claims that around $1.7 million in TWT was transferred from the Merkl contract to an anonymous wallet, after which these assets were withdrawn to the Binance exchange and sold off. According to the expert, approximately 48.5 million TWT, equivalent to over $18 million, still remains in the Merkl contract.
“The Trust Wallet token has experienced a sharp price drop, leaving many users puzzled, as the product has been in use for a long time, and most of their decisions were considered sound.”
Additionally, some traders reported the exit of a large holder (whale) from the market, who sold over 4.2 million TWT accumulated over the past three years. Trader Timmy Arno believes that since reaching peak values near $1, the token has already lost about 65% of its value, raising concerns about investor sentiment and positioning.
Silence from the Team and Community Expectations
Market participants link the continued pressure on the TWT price to several factors: the lack of official comments from the Trust Wallet management, uncertainty regarding the future development of the ecosystem, and the increase in large sales volumes. As of the time of preparing this material, no statements from the Trust Wallet team or CEO had been made public.
Meanwhile, Mon Wallet’s developer reassured the community, stating that the development strategy for TWT remains unchanged. He also suggested that the new CEO’s silence might be related to legal aspects.
The crypto community continues to monitor the situation, awaiting an official clarification from Trust Wallet and further steps to stabilize the token’s price.
