In the first half of April, electricity prices in Ukraine exceeded those of neighboring countries such as Poland, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia. According to data, the weighted average selling price of electricity in the wholesale market was 4,834.17 UAH/MWh (approximately 104.6 euros/MWh at the average exchange rate). This is 34% higher than in Germany and 3.5 times higher than in Sweden, indicating significant issues in Ukraine’s energy sector.
