US Increases Pressure: Russia Complains of Being Pushed Out of Energy Markets

Кремль скаржиться, що США витісняють Росію "з усіх енергетичних ринків".

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, stated that the United States is actively pushing Russia out of all global energy markets. According to him, the US is acting in accordance with a doctrine of dominance in the energy sector, which leads to increased sanctions against key Russian companies, including Lukoil and Rosneft.

US Sanctions Against Russian Energy Giants

Lavrov emphasized that the latest round of restrictions on Russian energy enterprises was initiated by the administration of President Donald Trump, and is not a legacy of the previous US administration. He also noted that Washington openly supports the marginalization of Russia in the European energy markets, complicating access for Russian companies to Western consumers and partners.

“Our American colleagues say: let’s resolve Ukraine now and then we will have huge economic prospects with you. At the same time, we are being pushed out of all global energy markets,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.

The Future of Cooperation Between Russia and the US

According to Lavrov, after losing positions in European markets, Russia will be forced to focus on domestic consumption of energy resources. The Minister suggested that in the future, the US might offer cooperation if Russia agrees to joint projects within its territory, taking into account the interests of both sides. At the same time, Lavrov emphasized that American interests currently outweigh international agreements, and Russia feels this clearly.
