In September 2025, the growth rate of consumer prices in Ukraine slowed again, reaching an annual rate of 11.9%. In comparison, this figure was 13.2% in August. According to the State Statistics Service, consumer market prices in September increased by 0.3% compared to the previous month, when the increase was 0.2%.

Changes in the Consumer Market: What Became More Expensive and What Became Cheaper
In September, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages decreased by 0.8%. According to statistics, fruits became significantly cheaper by 11.8%, as well as vegetables by 10.6%. Additionally, prices for eggs, sugar, and rice decreased by 1.3–2.9%.

At the same time, a number of goods showed price increases. For instance, lard, sunflower oil, fish, dairy products, meat and meat products, processed grain products, non-alcoholic beverages, bread, and butter became more expensive by 0.7–4%. Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products added another 1.2% to their prices.
Price Increases for Non-Food Goods and Services
In addition to food products, increases were also recorded in other categories. In particular, prices for clothing and footwear rose by 8.2%. The cost of educational services increased by 12.4%.
It is worth noting that inflation in Ukraine decreased to 5.1% in 2023 after a sharp rise to 26.6% in 2022. By the end of 2024, the inflation rate rose to 12%.
