Ukraine will present its defense projects for the first time at a reconstruction conference taking place in Rome. The event will serve as a platform for attracting funding in the defense and reconstruction sectors of the country. It is expected that during the forum, Ukrainian and foreign companies will sign a number of agreements in the fields of production, innovation, and advanced technologies.

“We expect to sign agreements in the defense sector between Ukrainian and foreign partners in the fields of production, innovation, and technology,” stated the Ministry of Economy.
Investment Programs and Business Support
The team from the Ministry of Economy, together with the European Commission, plans to announce the launch of 18 new programs that will be funded through the Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF). These initiatives will provide opportunities to attract additional investments for Ukrainian enterprises of various ownership forms – state, municipal, and private.
At the same time, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund is preparing to sign a grant agreement with the German development bank KfW for an amount of 40 million euros. The funds received will support the launch of a new state program to assist businesses affected by the war, particularly in de-occupied territories, as well as other vulnerable categories of enterprises.
International Partnership and Agricultural Sector Development
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy will sign an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) regarding the modernization of irrigation systems in the Odesa region. An agreement is also planned with Italy for the development of rural areas in Odesa and a memorandum with the Japanese company Fujita for the establishment of a modern network of vegetable storage facilities in Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that this week Ukraine expects to finalize new agreements with international partners in the fields of defense and reconstruction of the country.
