In 2024, Ukrainians contributed approximately PLN 1.65 billion (equivalent to $414 million) to the Polish state budget in the form of personal income tax (PIT) and corporate income tax (CIT), according to analysts at Gremi Personal. This is an increase of 27.7% compared to last year and 100% more than in 2022. The share of Ukrainians in total tax revenues from foreigners in 2024 was 33.7%.

Factors Contributing to the Increase in Tax Revenues
Experts point to several key factors that contributed to the growth of tax revenues in Poland:
- Implementation of tax reforms;
- Increase in the minimum wage;
- Growth in the number of registered Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
Employment of Ukrainians in Poland
According to data, the largest number of Ukrainians work in the following sectors: manufacturing – 29%; transport and logistics – 22%; administrative services – 16%; construction – 11%. It is expected that the tax contributions made by Ukrainians to the Polish budget will continue to grow.
Currently, about 1.55 million citizens of Ukraine reside in Poland, with 22% living in Warsaw. The next largest populations are in Lower Silesian Voivodeship with its capital in Wrocław – 12% and Greater Poland Voivodeship with its capital in Poznań – 11%.
