The United Kingdom and Ukraine have signed a licensing agreement that paves the way for the mass production of Ukrainian Octopus interceptor drones at British facilities. These drones have already proven their effectiveness in combating Russian Shahed drones, and now thousands of such devices will be manufactured monthly in Britain for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Octopus Technology: A Ukrainian-British Development for Air Defense
Octopus is a joint development by Ukrainian and British specialists aimed at providing Ukrainian military personnel with an affordable and technological means to effectively counter Shaheds. The key idea is to reduce the burden on expensive air defense systems through a simple yet reliable interceptor drone. This model was launched into mass production in November.

Partnership in Developing Innovative Drone Systems
In addition to Octopus production, Ukrainian companies Osiris AI and DefDrones have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of creating modern hardware and software solutions for drone platforms. Osiris AI specializes in software development for drones, while DefDrones focuses on designing and supplying high-performance microelectronic components for these systems. The collaboration between the companies will contribute to the further development of innovative solutions in the field of drone technology for Ukraine’s defense industry.
