At the international forum “Industrial Evolution: Manufacturing Includes the Economy,” the importance of developing industrial parks for economic growth and the return of Ukrainians home was emphasized. The event’s initiator, UFuture holding founder Vasyl Khmelnytsky, stressed that creating competitive conditions, particularly jobs and high salaries, is key to bringing people back from abroad.

The Role of Industrial Parks in Economic Development
“An industrial park is precisely such a growth point for the economy and a magnet for innovation, investment, and talent. Support from the government and public structures is an investment in the future. Last year, we paid 18 million hryvnias in taxes to the local budget, this year — 25 million, and next year — already 50 million. Over 20 years, that amounts to more than a billion hryvnias. And all this is just at the local government level. We are now laying the foundation for the next 15–20 years,” Khmelnytsky emphasized.
Digital Technologies as a Driver of Development
Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that the foundation of economic development should be digitalization, technology, and innovation. He mentioned that the strategy for Ukraine’s digital innovation development, WINWIN, until 2030 covers 14 areas, from defense technologies to artificial intelligence.
“We are already working on various tools to create conditions for the development of innovation in Ukraine: incentives, regulatory quick solutions, access to financing, mechanisms for entering new markets,” Fedorov noted.
The international forum “Industrial Evolution: Manufacturing Includes the Economy” took place last week at the “Bila Tserkva” industrial park. The event was attended by over 1,000 representatives from Ukrainian manufacturing companies, the government, international partners, and investors. During the discussions, experts addressed key issues in the development of Ukraine’s industry. An exhibition titled “Made in Ukraine” was also held.
It is worth noting that, according to the results from January to March 2025, Ukrainian companies exported goods worth nearly $9.9 billion. In March, the export of products amounted to over $3.6 billion, which is 4.5% more than the corresponding figure from last year and 18% compared to February of this year.
