Investments in Energy Independence
The launch of the SPP is part of IDS Ukraine’s long-term strategy for developing its own electricity generation. In 2024-2025, it is planned to invest approximately €530,000 in the creation of new energy capacities. Previously, the company had already invested €460,000 in the purchase of a diesel generator for the Myrhorod plant, which allowed for a total generation capacity of 1.6 MW.
It is estimated that the new SPP will reduce electricity costs by €150,000-200,000 annually, with an expected payback period for the investments of about three years.
Energy Needs of the Group
The total annual electricity needs for the entire IDS Ukraine group amount to 28 MW, of which 5 MW is used at the Myrhorod plant, while the remainder is supplied by the Morshyn Mineral Water Plant “Oscar.” In 2026, another SPP with a capacity of 1.6 MW is planned to be launched in Morshyn.
