Representatives of the Ministry of Development of Ukraine held a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Korea, during which they discussed key areas of cooperation in restoring infrastructure damaged by Russia’s aggression. The Ministry is already actively collaborating with the Korean side in the fields of urban planning, reconstruction, as well as the development of railway and aviation infrastructure.

Currently, the Ministry of Development is implementing about 15 ongoing and potential projects in partnership with Korea. Special attention during the meeting was given to issues related to supporting port infrastructure, developing the maritime sector, and restoring energy infrastructure with a focus on distributed energy, as well as projects for water supply and wastewater management.
The delegation from the Republic of Korea presented projects that will contribute to Ukraine’s recovery after the devastating effects of the war.
Among the proposed initiatives is the establishment of a Ukraine Railway Traffic Management Center, which involves the implementation of advanced signaling and automation systems. Another project aims to develop the transport infrastructure of the Kyiv region using modern technologies.
Additionally, the South Korean company LS Group is considering the possibility of building a modern tractor factory in Ukraine, as well as producing bioethanol.
