Growth in Investments in Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs
During this period, spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted over $1.42 billion. This indicates a significant revival of interest from investors in cryptocurrency instruments. For Ethereum ETFs, the weekly inflow amounted to over $470 million, which is also a peak value in recent months.
Against this backdrop, cryptocurrency market quotes rose significantly: the price of Bitcoin climbed to $98,000, while Ethereum reached $3,400. This growth was accompanied by active inflows into the funds, although by January 16, there was a noticeable outflow of some capital. Specifically, $394.68 million was withdrawn from Bitcoin ETFs, while only $4.64 million was added to Ethereum ETFs.
“The spot cryptocurrency ETF sector completed the second full week of January with record results. Bitcoin funds attracted over $1.42 billion from January 12 to 16. For Ethereum products, the weekly inflow was $479 million. In both cases, these are the highest figures since October of last year.”
Daily Dynamics of Inflows and Outflows
Analysts noted that on January 12, Bitcoin ETFs attracted $116.67 million, while Ethereum funds garnered $5.04 million. During January 13 and 14, investor interest significantly increased: Bitcoin ETFs received $753.73 million and $843.62 million respectively, while Ethereum ETFs attracted $129.99 million and $175 million.
On January 15, inflows remained high, although they slowed somewhat: Bitcoin ETFs attracted $100.18 million, and Ethereum ETFs $164.37 million. However, by January 16, Bitcoin ETFs experienced a significant outflow of $394.68 million, while inflow to Ethereum ETFs sharply decreased to $4.64 million.

In the first full week of 2026, the situation was the opposite—spot Bitcoin ETFs lost over $680 million, contrasting with the current record results.
