Ukraine Presents Post-War Industrial Strategy Concept at URC2025

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine officially presented a new industrial strategy concept during the URC2025 conference in Rome. The document focuses on the recovery, modernization, and enhancement of the competitiveness of the national industrial sector after the war ends.

Key Directions of the Strategy

The updated strategy aims to develop an industrial ecosystem focused on innovation, export, and the creation of new jobs. Special emphasis is placed on integrating into European manufacturing chains, implementing modern technologies, and strengthening positions in the global market. It is also planned to improve the business climate and stimulate cooperation with the EU market.

Priority Sectors and Next Steps

Among the main tasks of the strategy are the transition from crisis measures to stable economic growth through effective management, updating support programs, launching partnership platforms between the state and business, as well as implementing smart specialization strategies in accordance with EU requirements. The priority sectors identified include machine engineering, construction and infrastructure, IT and digital technologies, defense industry, green metallurgy, energy, and agro-processing.

The document is aimed at creating a competitive, innovative, and export-oriented industrial ecosystem, enhancing cooperation with the EU market, developing the business environment, and creating new jobs.

The final approval of the strategy is scheduled for the end of 2025, with its implementation planned from 2026 to 2030.
