Ukrainian Exports Increased by 5.4% in July – Key Products and Markets

Вартість українського експорту в липні зросла на 5,4%.

In July 2025, Ukraine exported goods worth over $3.3 billion, which is 5.4% more compared to June. The total export amount for the first seven months of this year exceeded $23 billion, demonstrating a steady growth in the country’s foreign trade activity.

Key Directions and Products of Ukrainian Exports

A significant portion of the export structure traditionally consists of agricultural products and food industry goods. In July, the export value of these categories amounted to $1.7 billion. Iron ore, machinery products, and metallurgy also play a substantial role. In total, Ukraine shipped 8.2 million tons of products to foreign markets, of which 3.5 million tons were agricultural products.

Among the leaders in export value in July are:

  • sunflower oil – $537.9 million;
  • iron ore and concentrates – $190.1 million;
  • wheat – $159 million.

Main Markets and Transportation Logistics

European Union countries remain Ukraine’s largest trading partner. In July, EU countries purchased Ukrainian goods worth $1.9 billion, which is 10.1% more than in the previous month.

It is worth noting the positive dynamics in physical transportation volumes. Sea and road transport increased by 7.1% and 4.4% respectively. In contrast, rail transport decreased slightly by 1.5%.

Additionally, it is reported that the mining company Ferrexpo has conducted 60% of its iron ore export by sea this year, while last year’s figure was 47%.
