Current State and Prospects of Industrial Parks
By the end of last year, 25 factories were either operational or under construction in industrial parks across the country. Approximately 180 MW of electrical capacity is available for connecting enterprises in these parks, and the total area of industrial real estate exceeds 100,000 square meters. In recent months, new enterprises have begun operations in the parks, including factories for processing industrial hemp, agricultural products, and manufacturing building materials from the Finnish company Peikko Group. At least 10 more factories are actively under construction.
Main Changes Proposed by the Bill
Bill No. 12117 contains comprehensive innovations for regulating the activities of industrial parks. Among the key proposals are a clear delineation of roles and functions for all participants in industrial parks, the introduction of the concept of “eco-industrial park,” and the removal of time limits for small electricity distribution systems to acquire capacity. It is expected that the adoption of these changes will expand the potential of industrial parks, enhance their investment attractiveness, and create new opportunities for industrial development.
