Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, shared his vision for the future of cryptocurrency wallets, emphasizing the importance of deep integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into these services.

AI Integration in Crypto Wallets: A New Level of Protection
According to Buterin, in the coming years, crypto wallets will actively implement artificial intelligence tools that can automate the process of preparing and planning transactions. At the same time, the final decision will always rest with the user, who will manually confirm each proposal.
The Ethereum co-founder is confident that this approach will help reduce the risks of attacks through decentralized application (dApp) interfaces. In particular, the implementation of AI will allow for more effective tracking of potentially dangerous actions and help avoid theft of funds or leakage of personal data.
“AI offers a plan, the local LLM client models it, you see the action and the modeled result and confirm it manually,” the developer stated.
Vitalik Buterin also noted that he does not recommend fully trusting large language models (LLMs) to execute transactions involving large sums. In cases of multimillion-dollar transactions, he advises using a multi-step confirmation process to minimize the likelihood of errors or abuses.
Crypto Community and Values: Balancing Technology and Ethics
Buterin has repeatedly emphasized that the development of artificial intelligence in the crypto industry must take into account the core values of the community. In his opinion, the main principles should remain decentralization, privacy protection, and transparency of all processes.
The developer stressed that the approach to AI development should not be limited to technological progress alone. It is important that the integration of artificial intelligence into the Ethereum ecosystem and other blockchains contributes to the formation of a positive trajectory for the development of civilization, rather than merely accelerating innovation.
He noted that a few years ago he described possible directions for the interaction between Ethereum and AI, but now sees the need for deeper integration of these technologies. According to Buterin, the traditional approach to developing general artificial intelligence is too abstract and does not take into account the real needs of the industry.
Now Buterin is calling for the creation of new models of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) that would consider values such as verifiability, security, and privacy.
