Among the main announcements at the event:
AI Infrastructure Updates
Google unveiled a new version of the AI Hypercomputer and Ironwood TPU chips, which belong to the seventh generation. These chips provide a tenfold increase in performance. Gemini models are now available on a local level through Google Distributed Cloud in partnership with NVIDIA and Dell.
Enhanced Vertex AI Capabilities
Vertex AI tools received significant updates, including:
- The Veo 2 model, which now features improved editing and camera management capabilities.
- Chirp 3, capable of generating custom voices in just 10 seconds.
- Imagen 3, with enhanced image quality and improved editing capabilities.
- Copyright protection and watermarks with SynthID.
Additionally, Google introduced new AI agents for businesses, including companies like Lowe’s, Wendy’s, AES, and Wayfair, which are already automating data analysis and customer support. The updated Google Agentspace platform now includes the Agent Assembler tool, allowing no-code access to AI tools for all employees.
Significant attention was also given to the new Agent2Agent protocol, an open standard for interaction between agents from different developers. Google also presented the Agent Development Kit and Agent Garden.
Another important announcement was the expansion of access to the Google Cloud WAN for businesses and government agencies in 42 regions. To ensure security, the company introduced Google Unified Security — an AI-based platform that includes agents for threat analysis and malware detection.
“As a reminder, in March 2025, Google released the Gemini 2.5 family of AI models designed for more accurate data analysis before providing responses.”
This event marked a significant step in the development of artificial intelligence technologies, opening new opportunities for businesses and consumers.
