Five leading Ukrainian producers accounted for 87% of the total sugar export volume in the 2024-2025 marketing year. Among the main exporters, the leaders are the companies “Radekhiv Sugar”, “Astarta-Kyiv”, “Ukrprominvest-Agro”, “Aspik Group”, and “Teofipol Sugar Plant”.

Dynamics of Sugar Plant Operations
This season, 27 sugar plants will operate in Ukraine, compared to 29 in the previous season and 30 in the 2023-2024 years. Specifically, the Kapitansky and Krasiliv sugar plants will not start operations in the new season. Additionally, for the second consecutive year, the plants of “Agrofirma Svitank” in the Kyiv region remain idle.
Production and Domestic Consumption Forecasts
According to forecasts, approximately 1.5 million tons of sugar will be produced in Ukraine this season, which is 300 thousand tons less compared to last year. However, this volume remains sufficient to meet the country’s domestic needs, estimated at 900 thousand tons.
In total, these five companies accounted for 87% of the total sugar export volume in the last marketing year.
