Large-Scale Project and New Opportunities for the Region

The grain terminal, located within the Odessa Maritime Trade Port, has an annual capacity of up to 5 million tons, making it one of the largest infrastructure facilities in the country. Restoring its operations will provide a significant boost to the development of the transport system in Odessa, expand logistical capabilities, and strengthen the export potential of the region. The project is expected to create approximately 150 new jobs and attract substantial private investments for the modernization of port infrastructure. This will increase revenues to local and state budgets and contribute to the economic growth of southern regions of Ukraine.

International Team and Development Prospects

“Lavanda Terminal” is working with American investment funds Argentem Creek Partners and Innovatus Capital. The company has announced ambitious plans to transform the grain complex into a facility of international standards that will meet modern requirements for the transportation and storage of agricultural products. Direct management of the terminal will be handled by Swedish businessman and Honorary Consul of Sweden in Odessa, Karl Sturen. His appointment opens new opportunities for infrastructure modernization, enhancing operational transparency, and actively attracting foreign investments.

The terminal has a capacity of about 5 million tons per year and is one of the largest in Ukraine. The launch of the terminal will be an important element in the development of the region’s transport system, noted the Regional Development Agency.
