State Support for the Agricultural Sector in 2025: Funding and Results for Farmers

In 2025, the Ukrainian agricultural sector received significant state support, enabling tens of thousands of farmers to strengthen their farms and develop key areas of production. According to the Ministry of Economy, state programs were aimed at restoring production, increasing the resilience of agricultural enterprises, and developing livestock, reclamation, aquaculture, and the cultivation of niche crops, covering most regions of the country.

Financial Assistance for Farmers: Key Figures and Directions

Four agricultural enterprises in the Volyn, Rivne, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi regions received partial reimbursement for expenses related to the construction and reconstruction of farms designed to house 3,000 head of cattle. The total amount of compensation reached 116.3 million UAH.

Within the irrigation support program, ten enterprises from seven regions received 34 million UAH in compensation for the modernization and creation of reclamation systems. This enabled irrigation for an area of approximately 2,500 hectares, positively impacting yield and production stability.

Subsidies, Grants, and Investments in Agriculture

Throughout the year, over 14,000 agricultural producers benefited from state subsidies totaling 1.1 billion UAH. Additionally, more than 12,000 farms received 421.3 million UAH for maintaining cows. Furthermore, 2,704 farmers received 326.3 million UAH in subsidies for maintaining goats and sheep.

A total of 162.4 million UAH in grants was allocated for the development of horticulture in 2025. For the development of greenhouse farming, 110.8 million UAH was allocated, allowing farmers to invest in modern technologies and ensure high-quality products.
